Today in literacy we were learning about the lion from the wizard of oz who longs for courage, even though he is the mighty king of the forest he feels he has no courage.
Today we were told to put on a slide what we thought courage was and to give an example as to what courage was.

Nice work Riley! What a cool task. I completely agree with you, courage doesn't mean not being afraid, but it means feeling that fear and doing it anyway. I really like that you linked it to bullying because it is so important to do the right thing and stand up for people. It definitely shows a lot of courage. I have never read the Wizard of Oz, but I have seen the movie many times and love it. How are you enjoying the book so far? Keep up the great work! Caitlin :)
