Brilliant Bar Graphs

Kia Ora Readers

In maths we have been working on bar graphs and although it sounds simple there are a lot of things that we forget to do.

My first attempt was a bit rough.
As you can see it wasn't very clear and didn't show the data so I was given a checklist

  • Scale starts at 0 and goes up in equal amounts
  • Gaps between the bars
  • Labeled axis- x and y
  • Detailed title to tell us what the graph is about
  • Frequency on the lines, not in the squares
  • Use a ruler
So i tried again using the checklist and...

It looked so much better! You could clearly read the data and looked so much neater!

So what have you been learning maths?

Until next time
